Well we did it. We finished the trip 2322 miles.  We arrived home about 4:30 Mountain time. We left  the hotel about 8:30 and started the last of the route we had planned up to Oatman. The road was as we remembered it some 39 years ago when we took it in our very first new car, a Chevy Vega :). We visited the rebuilt Cool Springs Compound. Rebuilt because Hollywood blew it up in the Van Damm movie the Ultimate Soldier.  The person running it was fun and gave us some history.  Then we were off to Oatman. This town has changed a bunch. Lots more for the tourist. Complete with burrows in the street. As we were leaving Steve changed into shorts again.  Nice change from the cold we dealt with the last few days. Another tourist came running over to the car wanting to talk about it and get a  picture taken with it. He was more excited about seeing the car than he was for visiting the town.  At lunch in Laughlin we all separated and headed to our homes. What a great trip! Thanks for enjoying it with us.
